John Sadler
John Sadler is an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at Mohr, Davidow Ventures pursuing new business opportunities in the areas of Life Science and healthcare informatics and digital imaging.
Prior to joining the firm John was VP of Systems R&D at Applied Biosystems responsible for leading a team of engineers and scientists to deliver corporate eCommerce channels and revenue-producing scientific data services.
Before AB, John held executive positions with several startups in the Life Science and clinical markets, including Auntminnie.com, Genvault, and Entigen.
As VP of Engineering at Genvault Corp, John led the architecture and delivery of industrial automation and web services software for a networked, automated biological sample archive. At Entigen as senior VP of Engineering, he led a team of engineers to ship distributed software that simplified the use of bioinformatics tools and data sources.
Prior to those positions, he was General Manager/Chief Technology Officer at Auntminnie.com/Lumisys Corp where he led operations and was responsible for developing in one year the dominant portal for medical imaging.
John started his career at Hewlett-Packard, and spent 15 aggregate years at HP and Agilent, and was an early member of the team that started Agilent¹s Life Science business.
John holds several patents in the fields of DNA microarray analysis and automated clinical sample archiving.
Education: Engineering degrees from MIT and Stanford.
