The TMF "Reverse Pitch" is a channel through which leading technology companies and entrepreneurs can access technologies from leading laboratories.
The format is simple: presenting entrepreneurs or companies describe their technology needs to the attending lab commercialization managers and technical staff. Possible technology matches are discussed directly with the lab, during the event or off-line.
The goal of the event -- like other TMF functions -- is to overcome the challenges facing technology suppliers and consumers in achieving efficient and profitable technology transactions. By focusing on real and current technology requirements, the event gives lab participants access to market needs they may not otherwise know about. Likewise, presenting companies and entrepreneurs gain more efficient access to a broad base of technologies from many of the worlds most respected sources.
Presenting companies and entrepreneurs are well-established in their fields, and have the market knowledge and resources to acquire and profit from acquired technologies. Entrepreneurs are typically referenced to the TMF through leading VCs.
